When it comes to household chores there can be few more annoying tasks than changing a duvet cover.

Great idea and lovely story.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/howaboutthat/7963968/Three-sided-duvet-promises-to-revolutionise-housework.html

Despite struggling to make ends meet, Miss Burt found £15 to spend on some fabric and ran up a duvet cover which was open three sides with buttons attached.

She said she was astonished no one had thought of the idea before and immediately spotted its potential.

Her friends loved them so much she patented the design and launched her own company, Quande Duvet Covers, which has sold hundreds online and in local stores.

Now the simple invention is set to make her a fortune after she entered talks to distribute the covers through a range of high street stores including retail giant Matalan.

The covers also feature a pocket which keeps it folded neatly while it is in the washing machine, preventing it from becoming tangled.

good story but......if you wrap it up in a pocket you just wash it with the cat hair locked in!!!

I would not want to use one, it would be difficult to find a place double the length of a duvet, to find to lay it flat.
Then all of those buttons? it would take ages to do them all up, then there is the 'risk' of them coming undone while you are sleeping.

I prefer to wash mine inside out, and while still inside out, put your hands inside ,grab the top ends of the cover and the duvet, and give it a shake, it slides down a treat, then its just a case of tucking in the other end.

I put it on inside out to pretend I am a ghost.  I hold the corners, B gives me the corners of the duvet and I shake the duvet onto it - I dont see a problem that really needs sorting!
