Hi
I put my green bin out this week and lo and behold got a sticker attached to it saying that contaminated stuff was in it so it could not be emptied this time, when i opened the bin 1 of my kids had stuck in some dog hair after brushing him but for gods sake the green bin was next to the grey bin and it took me 2 secs to remove the hair and shut the lid why couldn't the dustman do that grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr now i have a green bin stuck outside my house for 2 more weeks to stink of rotting grass and other stuff, so come dustmen use your BRAINS or HANDS and just have a bit more care or thought about how your bin will smell by the time it next gets emptied cos if it was yours then you would be really hopping mad by now.
Where can i get a extra grey bin from as we are a house of 7 plus 1 dog and i have looked in all the diy shops expecting them to stock them but still have not found 1, do the council supply a extra one or do we have to buy them? answers apprieciated please.

The council would charge you for emptying more than 1 grey bin every 2 weeks.

you will have to look at urs rose and compare it with you neighbours to find out what size you have............  when they were all first delivered here we had a choice of large or small...most had the large unless you were living on your owna nd asked for smaller one.....
i feel sorry for the people  who have larger families... i know what it was like for 6 months when my son and his g/f and baby lived with us..that made it to a total of 4 adults 1 16 yr old and a baby in nappies   Roll Eyes  my bin was full to bursting and we had to go to the tip every week...the bin was heaving and had maggots eventhough i wash it out often... the heat and rotten food doesnt help along with only being emptied once a fortnight... idid hear they want us to eventually have them emptied once a month  Shocked  imagine that Huh

Yes, it took many months and many phone calls before they got the message. It was really quite unbelievable. Then for a while, they emptied our bins regularly. Didn't last though. We had to make a phone call again this week.  It's been an expensive process for us making call after call; not just one call a week but over and over again. We'll see what happens next week.
