Further to my last post, we have now seized what we believe to be the Black VW & arrested a number of folks for a variety of offences surrounding the recent burglaries. I would still contact me if you have any concerns about a vehicle seen acting oddly, all the best, Nick
Nick, If these are the one's responsible, many congratulations to your team!!

It was a joint effort by chaps from Avon & Somerset & ourselves; they got some intel about the vehicle & tracked it down to Westbury, together we went over yesterday & arrested these guys for the Burglaries, but while we were there, they also got further arrested for Possession of Cannabis with intention to Supply. Anyway, its early days, & we haven't reached Court yet, but I'm confident that the Burglaries these guys are suspected of being involved in will now stop.
Anyway, my previous advice stands, if you see anyone acting suspiciously, its always useful to take a photo, you never know whats around the corner or whats on their minds...
All the best Nick

I remember watching a crime programme a couple of years ago mike in someplace can't remember the place now they used to take photos of the criminals and use them on posters and post the picture of them and crimes in the centre of town so everyone could see who and what they done i would love something like that in westbury.

Thanks Andy, I'm afraid I still hate seeing myself in print, & reading it you could be mistaking for believing that I am the only chap who Police's Westbury. On the contrary, there are a whole team of guys in Warminster who respond to the 999 calls & do very much more than I, however, the article is representative of a "quiet" Friday night in Westbury.
Thanks again for all your support,
Nick

There has recently been an agreement by the Association of Chief Police Officers with respect to what YOU as residents can expect of your local Policing Teams, for those interested, please have a look at the following link: http://campaigns.direct.gov.uk/policingpledge/All the best Nick

My dear Nick. Nice to see you this morning at the children's center. When this was first proposed I said at the time 6 parking spaces were not enough. I also suggested part of the grass area behind the Youth Center was turned over to extra parking. This obviously did not happen because we were told that the grass area was needed for the youths to have a kick about, fair comment but surely a compromise could have been reached for the good of all. Its OK saying you cant park there but whats the alternative. If parents cant drop off and pick up their children then they will just take their offspring to another play school where they can and thus put the existing center in jeopardy. Its a tough one but nice to see you anyway (dont think you deserved the mouthfull from that chap, if you had an emergancy you would have needed your transport or that would have been wrong). take care kind regards charlie

Thanks for the kind words, from what I have now been told, the parents are not happy with ANY vehicles coming down the drive (which was where that chap was coming from), I was not aware of this at the time, having been told that the issue was restricted to that of he Double Yellow lines. While I am now aware that there is a school of thought that does not like the cars using the small car park next to the Youth Center, as the situation presently stands, it is a public car park with few restrictions & it would be difficult to construct an argument which would stop parents using it. Thanks for your support, & it was nice to see you (both),
All the best, Nick
