Wow, fantastic, will email a link to some of my family.  Thanks for that Maxi.

Wish we could know who the people are.

And photo 23, the Market Place, that is how it could be now, full of people, hustle and bustle, all mingling, socialising etc.................. If only.

wow  nic pics there..... same as the westbury in photographs book that i have..somewhere still packed up  lol

the old cinema was nice to see... i used to see that often from the upstairs windows of derrylee boutique when it was opposite it in the 70-80's
and the momnument in the market place says 1960's.... i was born in 1963 and i know i can remember sitting on th e steps when i was little.... wish it was more specific on the actual date it moved

My mum said when she was a little girl they used to play down Fore Street by the Frogmore Road junction all day and if they were unlucky they may have to move out the way for a car perhaps once during the day.
